This is the website for the Western Union of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, an association of Unitarian and like-minded congregations in the West Country (specifically Cornwall, Devon, western Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire).  The Western Union is the successor to two long-standing organisations in the west country, the Western Unitarian Society founded in 1792 and the Western Unitarian Christian Union founded in 1845.  The key goals of the Western Union today are to present and strengthen Unitarian witness through the south west of England, to support and maintain its congregations, and to ensure there is leadership for all its congregations.
If you are not familiar with the Unitarian movement and would like to learn something about our liberal religious approach, we hope the following pages will interest you.  Should you wish to explore further, please do refer to the links on the Contact Us page or to your nearest Unitarian congregation.
